Your dog will greet you, tired and happy, at the end of your workday...
At the end of the day you just want to relax. As much as you might like to take Fido out for a walk, you just don't have the energy.
Let us help!
Drop off your furry friend in the morning and pick him up on your way home. During your workday, the White Mountain K9 Academy staff will entertain, train and play with your dog. You get to choose the daily activites from our extensive list of options. Nature hikes, massages, swimming, agility or frisbee to name a few.
Bad habits driving you nuts?
Dog jumping on guests? Refusing to sit when asked? Refusing to come when called?
Let us help!
Let our professional trainers brush up your dog's obedience skills. Need extra help with teaching Fido a new skill? We're here to help with that, too!
This is NOT an overnight "board and train" type of option. We won't teach your dog a full obedience or agility program. If this is what you desire, we offer a number of training courses that encompass both dog AND owner working together. The relationship that develops during training with a dog is essential. In our opinion, you just can't have successful training without owner participation.
What we DO offer during Daycare & Train is a review and polishing of commands the dog already knows. Teaching of simple commands, tricks and beginning elimination of certain behavior problems.
Current Student Special!
Are you currently enrolled in one of White Mountain K9 Academy's training programs?
If so, you're entitled to 50% off any training addition to a daycare stay!
Our instructors will continue to work your dog through the material in your current week's class outline.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q) When can I drop off and pick up my dog for daycare?
A) Drop off is between 7:00 - 9:00 am and pickup is between 4:30 - 6:30 pm. Monday - Friday. Sundays you may drop off and pickup anytime beween 2:30 -6:30 pm. We are closed on Wednesday.
Q) Do you allow exceptions to your hours?
A) All drop off and pickups must be during our regular hours. This allows us time to train, exercise and work with the dogs without interruption. If these hours are violated, you will be asked not to return.
Q) What happens if I can't make it back in time to make your pickup times?
A) If its during our AM hours, you can simply pickup during our PM hours. If you're unable to make our PM pickup hours then your dog will be kept for overnight boarding.
Q) What services do you offer for daycare?
A) Please download our "Daycare Services and Price Sheet". This form is in PDF format so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view it. Nearly every computer comes with Acrobat reader installed.
Q) What vaccinations do you require?
A) We require: Rabies, Dhlpp ( or a variation of the Distemper complex) and Bordatella. Bordatella is the Canine Cough vaccine and not routinely given with your dog's regular vaccinations. Please double check with your vet as to wether or not your dog has this vaccine. If your dog doesn't have all three vaccinations, he will not be accepted for daycare. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Q) Will you administer medications?
A) We will happily administer medications to your dog. There's a small fee for this service.
Q) Will my dog be fed while he is there? Can I bring my own food?
A) Dogs are fed California Natural Chicken and Rice dry food at both breakfast and dinner time. We will happily feed your own food if you prefer. Please package only enough for two meals. We will not accept large bags or large storage containers of food for daycare. If your food requires refridgeration, there will be a small fee charged.
Q) Are dogs allowed to play together in group?
A) No. Dogs are exercised and entertained with a human companion. One on one nature walks and play times allow your dog individual attention during his stay. If you bring more than one dog, we will happily exercise, walk and house them together. We will also group dogs together that know each other so long as we have permission of each dog's owner. In early spring of 2008 our new fenced training field will be complete and we'll add group play sessions to our activity list.
Q) How long have you been in business?
A) Ebony Kennel was opened in 1985 and White Mountain K9 Academy was started in 1993. Both businesses are highly respected and recommeded. Ask around and check with your veterinarian, we trust you'll like what you hear.
Q) Do you offer any discounts for recurring guests?
A) Absolutely! We offer a number of discount programs. Please download our
"Daycare Services and Price Sheet" for the full list of discounts.
Q) Are there any breeds you don't accept?
A) We accept all breeds on three conditions:
...1) They are not aggressive towards humans.
...2) They are able to walk moderately well on leash, if you wish for them to be leash walked. We're happy to work on leash training with your dog so that he will eventually be accepted for leash walking activities.
...3) The dog doesn't have a history of fence climbing or slipping his collar.
Q) My dog is older, can he still come?
A) Yes! We cater to older and nervous dogs. Older dogs will be allowed a relaxed visit on one of our comfortable Kuranda beds. Slow and gentle walks, joint soothing swimming or massage are a few options popular with our elderly clientel.
Q) What is the youngest dog you will accept?
A) Four months is the youngest dog we will accept.
Q) Where can I find directions to your facility?
A) Directions are found on our contact us page.
Please contact us if your question wasn't answered here.
